Goldstein, Borgen, Dardarian & Ho, along with Disability Rights Advocates, a non-profit legal center in Berkeley, California, settled class action lawsuits covering all Macy’s West stores in California, requiring Macy’s to provide equal access to its facilities and merchandise for people with mobility disabilities. The settlement requires Macy’s to provide accessible entrances, main aisles, fitting rooms, service counters and restrooms, to implement a customer service plan for people who use wheelchairs, scooters, and other mobility aids, and to provide accessible pathways to all merchandise within the stores.
