Equifax, Experian and TransUnion – Accessible Credit Reports Disclosures

Representing the American Council of the Blind, the California Council of the Blind and several blind individuals, Goldstein, Borgen, Dardarian & Ho and co-counsel Lainey Feingold negotiated a landmark settlement agreement with the three national credit reporting companies, Equifax, Experian and TransUnion, to provide credit reports and other credit file information in formats that are accessible to persons with visual impairments.  Effective December 31, 2008, credit reports are now available from all three credit reporting companies in Braille, large print, audio compact disk, and on-line.  On-line credit disclosures meet the standards established by the Web Accessibility Initiative of the World Wide Web Consortium.  Accessible information can be ordered on line by visiting www.annualcreditreport.com, or by calling toll free at 877-322-8228.
