Goldstein, Borgen, Dardarian & Ho, along with solo practitioner Lainey Feingold, represented visually impaired customers of American Express in obtaining a settlement agreement requiring American Express to provide their visually impaired customers with American Express monthly account statements and year-end summary statements in Braille and Large Print. American Express’ obligation extends to standard American Express Cards, Blue Cards and Gold Cards. Pursuant to the settlement agreement, American Express will not impose any fees or charges on their visually impaired cardmembers for providing Braille or Large Print statements. Visually impaired cardholders may call the American Express Customer Service toll free number at 1-800-528-4800 to request Braille or Large Print statements. Goldstein, Borgen, Dardarian & Ho continues to encourage other companies to provide alternative formats for their customers with visual impairments.
