GBDH welcomes Eliza Meredith and Valentina Franco to our 2020 Summer Program

GBDH welcomes two summer associates to the firm for our 2020 Summer Program, Eliza Meredith and Valentina Franco.

Eliza is a rising third year law student at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. During law school, Eliza has worked at the Federal Defender Program, Inc. and the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area. Eliza is an editor on the Berkeley Journal of African American Law & Policy and the Berkeley Journal of Employment & Labor Law. This summer, Eliza was one of thirteen students selected as an Employee Justice Summer Fellow by the California Employment Lawyers’ Association.

Valentina will be starting her third year of law school at the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law. Last summer, Valentina received UF Law’s Bill McBride Public Interest Fellowship to work at the Migrant Farmworker Division of Colorado Legal Services where she served as a summer outreach intern for Colorado’s northwest region. Valentina has also volunteered at UF Law’s Virgin D. Hawkin’s Immigration Clinic and Florida Legal Services.

Eliza and Valentina will be working remotely for GBDH for ten weeks this summer.  Information about GBDH’s summer associate program and future announcements about GBDH’s 2021 Summer Program will be made available here.
