GBDH obtains final approval of $200 million settlement with City of Long Beach

On October 17, 2017, GBDH, along with co-counsel Disability Rights Advocates and Disability Rights Legal Center, obtained final approval of a $200 million settlement with the City of Long Beach to improve the accessibility of the City’s pedestrian right of way.  The settlement will make sidewalks, curb ramps, cross walks and other walkways accessible to individuals with mobility disabilities.  More details about the settlement can be found here and in the following articles: Long Beach settles Disability Act suit, will pay millions to repair sidewalks and Long Beach Settles Class Action Suit; Could Cost City Over $200 Million in ADA Repairs.
