GBDH, along with co-counsel Civil Rights Education and Enforcement Center (CREEC), obtained preliminary approval of a class action settlement that requires the City of San Jose to spend more than $130 million to improve the accessibility of San Jose’s pedestrian right of way.  Under the settlement in Lashbrook v. City of San Jose, the City is committing to construct or remediate more than 27,000 accessible curb ramps throughout San Jose over the next eighteen years.  More details about the settlement, which the Court praised as “remarkable,” can be found here.
