March 3, 2021

On February 25, 2021, GBDH client Artie Lashbrook was posthumously inducted into the Impact Fund’s Class Action Hall of Fame.  Mr. Lashbrook was the sole plaintiff and class representative in the matter of Lashbrook v. the City of San Jose, which resulted in a settlement requiring the City to spent in excess of $130 million to construct and remediate approximately 28,000 curb ramps (representing more than 90% of the City’s curb ramps) over an 18-year period.  Despite tremendous personal turmoil, Mr. Lashbrook remained committed to the case and vindicating the rights of persons with mobility disabilities.  Read more about Mr. Lashbrook’s induction into the Impact Fund’s Class Action Hall of Fame here.
