City of Anaheim Signs Settlement Agreement

On 1/7/14, the City of Anaheim agreed to a settlement in Moreno v. Anaheim, which challenged the City’s at-large method of election as a violation of the California Voting Rights Act. GBDH partner, Laura L. Ho, declared “This settlement is a victory for democracy. District-elections, which will give all of Anaheim’s communities a seat at the table in local government, are now within the grasp of Anaheim’s residents.”
