Bell v. Farmers Services, LLC – is a putative class action pending in Los Angeles Superior Court (Case No. BC 438517 and filed on May 25, 2010) on behalf of former employees of the Farmer’s Global Information Technology Operations (“GITO”) group who were employees primarily engaged in installing, maintaining, upgrading, supporting and/or assisting in the support of computer software and/or hardware for Farmers following well-established and common instructions and procedures. Plaintiff Robert Bell alleges that Farmers misclassified GITO employees as exempt from overtime pay under California law and seeks, on behalf of himself and the putative class, unpaid overtime, premiums for missed meal periods, and related compensation and penalties as a result of being misclassified. Our co-counsel in this case are Altshuler Berzon, LLP and Lewis, Feinberg, Lee, Renaker, & Jackson, P.C.
