GBDH welcomes Carson Turner and Kiana Herold for its 2021 ten-week summer program.
Carson Turner is a rising third year law student at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. She is Notes Editor for the California Law Review and Executive Editor for the Berkeley Journal of Employment & Labor Law. In her pro bono and clinical experience, she has advocated on behalf of tenants, victims of wage theft, detainees, and public benefits applicants. Last summer, Carson served as a judicial extern to Judge Kim McLane Wardlaw of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Kiana Herold is a rising third year law student at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. During law school, Kiana has worked at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area, and as a practicum student for the Community Lawyering and Civil Rights Division of the Oakland City Attorney’s Office. She has also worked as a research assistant to Professor Joy Milligan on civil rights issues and is an Online Editor of the California Law Review. This summer, Kiana was selected as an Employee Justice Summer Clerkship Fellow by the Foundation for Advocacy, Inclusion & Resources.
