Ramirez, et al. v. Labor Ready, Inc. (formerly Yarbrough v. Labor Ready), No. 836186-2, 2002 WL 1997037, was a class action filed under California state law for travel and waiting time, equipment charges, and other labor law violations on behalf of day laborers employed by Labor Ready in California. The case was filed in February 2001 in Alameda Superior Court in Oakland, California. Goldstein, Borgen, Dardarian & Ho’s co-counsel was Weinberg, Roger, & Rosenfeld, also of Oakland, California. The case was settled for monetary relief to the class and individual plaintiffs and an agreement was reached that required changes in Labor Ready’s dispatch, safety training, and glove charge practices.
